Equilin (CAT: I003649) is a naturally occurring estrogen found in the mixture of estrogens isolated from the urine of pregnant mares. It is a steroidal compound and belongs to the class of hormones known as estrogens. Equilin has estrogenic activity and is structurally similar to human estrogen estradiol. It has been used in hormone replacement therapy for the treatment of menopausal symptoms in women.
