Fluvastatin (Cat No.:I005580) is a medication classified as a statin, which is a class of drugs used to lower cholesterol levels in the blood. It works by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which plays a key role in the production of cholesterol in the liver. By reducing cholesterol synthesis, fluvastatin helps to lower both low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and triglyceride levels, while also increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels.
