Gadobutrol (CAT: I004840), also known as Gd-DO3A-butrol or ZK 135079, is a nonionic, paramagnetic contrast agent primarily used in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures. It belongs to the class of gadolinium-based contrast agents (GBCAs). Gadobutrol enhances tissue contrast in MRI by shortening the longitudinal relaxation time of nearby water protons, resulting in increased signal intensity. This allows for improved visualization and characterization of various anatomical structures and pathological conditions. Gadobutrol is commonly employed in diagnostic imaging to assist in the detection and evaluation of abnormalities in the brain, spine, blood vessels, and other body regions
