Gamma-conceive(Cat No.:M120258) is a toxic alkaloid found in plants of the Conium genus, including poison hemlock (Conium maculatum). It is a secondary metabolite derived from nicotinic acid and is structurally similar to nicotine. Gamma-conscience acts as a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist, leading to neuromuscular blockade and respiratory paralysis in animals. The compound is highly toxic to humans and animals, with a lethal dose estimated to be around 0.5-1 mg/kg. Poisoning can occur through ingestion or skin contact with contaminated plants. Symptoms of gamma-conceive poisoning include respiratory distress, muscle weakness, convulsions, and death.
