GDP-α-D-mannose disodium is a donor substrate for mannosyltransferase and a precursor of GDP-β-L-fucose. GDP-α-D-mannose disodium exhibits competitive inhibition of GTP (Ki of 14.7 μM) and noncompetitive inhibition of mannose-1-P (Ki of 115 μM).
