Globomycin(Cat No.:I016736) is a lipopeptide antibiotic that acts as an inhibitor of signal peptidase II (LspA). By binding irreversibly to peptidases, globomycin prevents the processing of pro-lipoproteins. It exhibits toxicity against Spiroplasma melliferous, with minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) ranging from 6.25 to 12.5 μM. Through its inhibition of LspA, globomycin interferes with the proper maturation of bacterial proteins and shows potential as an antimicrobial agent targeting bacterial signal peptide processing pathways.
