HPPE (CAT: I040793) is a potential inhibitor of Bach1, a transcription factor belonging to the CNC-bZip (cap’n’collar type basic leucine zipper) family. Bach1 negatively regulates genes involved in mitochondrial metabolism and glucose utilization, playing a key role in cellular energy balance and oxidative stress response. By inhibiting Bach1, HPPE enhances mitochondrial function and metabolic activity. This compound is being explored for its therapeutic potential in diseases characterized by metabolic dysregulation and inflammation, including psoriasis, multiple sclerosis (MS), and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). HPPE is a promising tool for studying Bach1-related pathways and inflammatory disease mechanisms.
