HT-2157 (CAT: I003060), also known as SNAP 37889, is a selective and high-affinity competitive antagonist of the galanin-3 receptor (Gal3). It has been shown to bind with high affinity to membranes expressing the human Gal3 receptor, exhibiting a Ki value of 17.44 ± 0.01 nM. HT-2157 is highly selective for Gal3 over the Gal1 and Gal2 receptor subtypes, with Ki values greater than 10,000 nM for each subtype. In functional assays, HT-2157 has demonstrated concentration-dependent antagonism of galanin-induced inhibition of adenylyl cyclase.
