Hydroxy-PEG3-CH2-Boc is a polyethylene glycol (PEG)-based linker commonly utilized in the synthesis of Proteolysis Targeting Chimeras (PROTACs). This linker consists of a PEG chain with three ethylene glycol units, a hydroxyl group for conjugation, and a Boc (tert-butyloxycarbonyl) protecting group. Hydroxy-PEG3-CH2-Boc provides a flexible and hydrophilic spacer between the target protein-binding ligand and the E3 ubiquitin ligase-recruiting moiety in PROTACs. The linker allows for efficient target engagement and subsequent degradation of the target protein. Its compatibility with PEG-based synthesis strategies makes it valuable for designing and constructing PROTAC molecules with enhanced therapeutic potential.
