IBMX(Cat No.:I002989), also known as Isobutylmethylxanthine or 1-Methyl-3-Isobutylxanthine, is a non-specific phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitor. It exhibits inhibitory activity against PDE3, PDE4, and PDE5 with IC50 values of 6.5±1.2 μM, 26.3±3.9 μM, and 31.7±5.3 μM, respectively. By inhibiting PDE activity, IBMX enhances intracellular levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), a critical signaling molecule involved in numerous cellular processes. Additionally, IBMX acts as an antagonist for the adenosine A1 receptor.
