IHR 1(CAT: I011240) is a potent Smo (Smoothened) antagonist. It has an IC50 value of 7.6 nM, indicating its high potency in inhibiting Smoothened, a key component of the Hedgehog signaling pathway. Importantly, IHR 1 exhibits selectivity for the Hedgehog pathway over other signaling pathways, such as Wnt and Notch. In in vitro studies, IHR 1 has been shown to block the accumulation of Smoothened in the primary cilium, which is an important cellular organelle involved in Hedgehog signaling.
