Jedi2 (CAT: I029769) is a specialized compound known as a Piezo1 channel activator. By interacting with Piezo1 channels, Jedi2 promotes the influx of calcium ions (Ca2+) into cells. This activation has been demonstrated in HEK293 cells that express Piezo1 channels, triggering specific responses. Importantly, Jedi2’s effect is selective for Piezo1 channels, as it induces responses in cells transfected with mouse Piezo1, but not in those expressing Piezo2 channels.
