JKE-1674(Cat No.:I029796)is an inhibitor of glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) and serves as an active metabolite of the GPX4 inhibitor ML-210. By targeting GPX4, JKE-1674 demonstrates the ability to reduce the viability of LOX-IMVI cancer cells and various other cancer cell lines. The observed effect can be counteracted by the ferroptosis inhibitor ferrostatin-1, indicating that JKE-1674 induces cell death through ferroptosis, a form of regulated cell death characterized by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation. These findings highlight the potential of JKE-1674 as a therapeutic strategy for targeting cancer cells via ferroptosis.
