L-Asparaginase (Cat No.: I018818) is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of asparagine to aspartic acid and ammonia. It is primarily used in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and other cancers, as many cancer cells depend on exogenous asparagine for growth. By depleting asparagine levels, L-Asparaginase effectively inhibits the growth of these cancer cells. This enzyme is commonly administered as a chemotherapy agent and can also be used in combination with other treatments to improve therapeutic outcomes in certain cancers.
