Lactacystin (Cat No.:R002306) is an antibiotic and a metabolite of Streptomyces spp. It is a potent and selective proteasome (protease) inhibitor with an IC50 of 4.8 μM for the 20S protease chemobook. lactacystin also inhibits the lysosomal enzyme histone A. lactacystin inhibits cell growth and induces neurosynaptic proliferation.
