Levorphanol tartrate (Cat No.: I030736) is a potent synthetic opioid analgesic used to manage moderate to severe pain, including cancer-related and postoperative pain. It acts primarily as a mu-opioid receptor agonist, but also has activity at delta and kappa receptors, contributing to its broad analgesic effects. Additionally, levorphanol inhibits NMDA receptors and reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, enhancing its efficacy in neuropathic pain. With a longer half-life than morphine, it provides sustained relief. Levorphanol is valuable in pain management and palliative care settings.
