Mag-Fluo-4 AM（Cat No.:I043283）is a cell-permeant fluorescent dye used for detecting intracellular magnesium ion (Mg²⁺) concentrations in live cells. The dye is provided in an acetoxymethyl (AM) ester form, which allows it to enter cells easily. Once inside, esterases hydrolyze the AM groups, trapping the dye within the cell. Mag-Fluo-4 binds to magnesium ions and exhibits a fluorescence change upon binding, enabling real-time monitoring of magnesium levels using fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry. It is commonly used in cellular physiology studies to investigate magnesium-related signaling pathways and cellular functions.
