MCC-DM1, also known as DM1-MCC, is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) used in cancer therapy. It consists of maytansine derivative DM1 linked to a monoclonal antibody targeting cancer cells. Upon binding to cancer cells, MCC-DM1 releases DM1, a potent cytotoxic agent that disrupts microtubule function, inhibiting cell division and inducing cell death. This targeted approach minimizes systemic toxicity. MCC-DM1 is utilized in treating HER2-positive breast cancer and other malignancies.
