Meclizine hydrochloride is a histamine H1 antagonist used in the treatment of motion sickness, vertigo, and nausea during pregnancy and radiation sickness. Meclizine hydrochloride increases human pregnane X receptor (hPXR) target gene expression in human hepatocyte primary cultures.
