MFC(Cat No.:I032211), serves as a fluorogenic substrate for cytochrome P450 enzymes (CYPs). When acted upon by CYPs, it undergoes enzymatic cleavage, releasing 7-hydroxy-4-(trifluoromethyl)coumarin (HFC). The fluorescence of HFC can be measured to quantify CYP activity. HFC exhibits maximum excitation and emission wavelengths of 410 nm and 510 nm, respectively. This property makes MFC a useful tool in studying and assessing the activity of cytochrome P450 enzymes in various biological and pharmaceutical research applications.
