Micafungin sodium (Cat No.:I013897) is a sodium salt form of micafungin, an antifungal drug belonging to the echinocandin class. It inhibits the synthesis of 1,3-beta-D-glucan, an essential component of the fungal cell wall, leading to the disruption of cell wall formation and eventual cell death. Micafungin sodium is used for the treatment and prevention of invasive fungal infections, including candidemia and esophageal candidiasis. It is administered intravenously and is known for its broad-spectrum antifungal activity and favorable safety profile in clinical use.
