MK-5172 potassium salt (Cat No.:I000765) is a potent and selective inhibitor of the NS3/4A protease of the hepatitis C virus (HCV). This compound has been developed for the treatment of chronic HCV infection. By targeting the viral protease, MK-5172 inhibits viral replication and aids in the suppression of the virus. It is often used in combination with other direct-acting antiviral agents for improved efficacy.
