ML261(Cat No.:R061162)is a thienopyrrole-5-carboxamide derivative that inhibits hepatic lipid droplet formation, with an IC₅₀ value of 69.7 nM. It has been investigated for its potential in treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and inflammation. In vitro studies demonstrate that ML261 effectively reduces lipid accumulation in murine AML-12 hepatocytes but does not significantly affect human Huh7 hepatocellular carcinoma cells or primary human hepatocytes. The compound has a molecular formula of C₂₀H₂₃ClN₂O₃S and a molecular weight of 406.93 g/mol. ML261 is soluble in DMSO at concentrations up to 5 mg/mL and should be stored at 2-8 °C to maintain stability.
