Ned 19 (CAT: I018520) is a selective antagonist of nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NAADP) signaling. It acts as a membrane-permeant, non-competitive inhibitor of NAADP, a molecule involved in calcium (Ca2+) signaling. By inhibiting NAADP-mediated Ca2+ signaling, Ned 19 disrupts the release of intracellular Ca2+ stores, which play essential roles in various cellular processes. Ned 19 has been used in research to investigate the specific functions of NAADP signaling and its involvement in cellular responses such as calcium mobilization, vesicle trafficking, and cellular homeostasis.
