NGI-1(Cat No.:I011968)is a small-molecule inhibitor targeting oligosaccharyltransferase (OST), an enzyme complex essential for protein N-glycosylation, which is critical for protein folding and stability in cells. By inhibiting OST, NGI-1 disrupts N-glycosylation, affecting the function of glycoproteins involved in cell signaling, immune response, and viral infection processes. NGI-1 has shown potential in cancer research for impairing glycoprotein-driven signaling pathways in tumor cells, leading to decreased cell proliferation and viability. Its antiviral activity is also under investigation, as it may prevent viral proteins from properly folding, thereby inhibiting viral replication.
