N, N, N’, N’-Tetramethylbenzidine (TMB)(Cat No.:L006991), is a colorless to white solid that, when oxidized, produces a blue-green compound widely used in biochemical assays. TMB is a popular substrate for detecting horseradish peroxidase (HRP) activity in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) and other biochemical tests. Upon reaction with HRP, it turns blue, which can be quantified spectrophotometrically. TMB is a sensitive and versatile tool in research and diagnostics, especially in immunology and molecular biology. Its oxidation reaction is fundamental in various colorimetric assays, enabling the detection of specific biomolecules in biological samples.
