NSC243928 mesylate is a human lymphocyte antigen 6 (LY6) binder, which also acts as an inhibitor of cell growth and has anticancer activity[1].
NSC243928 mesylate (2 μM, 24 h) induced cell death in MDA-MB-231 control cells and showed an increase in cell viability in LY6K knockdown cells, thus suggesting that NSC243928 may induce cell death through the LY6K pathway[1].
NSC243928 mesylate inhibits MDA-MB-231, Hs-578-T, BT-549 and OVCAR-8 cells with the IC50 values of 5.683 μM, 7.309 μM, 7.954 μM and 4.167 μM, respectively[1].
