Oleyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (OEPC)(CAT: I011735) is a phospholipid derivative with a long alkyl chain that exhibits surfactant properties. OEPC has been studied for its potential use in drug delivery systems, as well as in the treatment of various diseases such as cancer, inflammatory diseases, and respiratory distress syndrome. It has also been used as a model surfactant to investigate the structure and dynamics of lipid bilayers. OEPC can self-assemble into micelles and vesicles, and its properties can be modified by adjusting the length of the alkyl chain and the headgroup.
