Paclobutrazol (Cat No.:R016940) is a plant growth regulator and a triazole-based fungicide. It is widely used in agriculture and horticulture to control plant growth and development. When applied to plants, paclobutrazol inhibits the synthesis of gibberellins, which are plant hormones responsible for cell elongation and growth. By inhibiting gibberellin production, paclobutrazol reduces plant height, promotes branching, and enhances root development. This results in compact, bushier plants with increased resistance to lodging (falling over) and improved tolerance to environmental stress. It is commonly used in fruit and vegetable production, ornamental plant cultivation, and turf management to achieve desired plant architecture and enhance overall plant health.
