Pentamidine (Cat No.:I000081) is an antimicrobial agent that interferes with DNA biosynthesis. Pentamidine inhibits the parasite Leishmania infantum with IC50 of 2.5 μM. Pentamidine is a potent and selective protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTPases) and regenerative liver phosphatase (PRL) inhibitor. Pentamidine can be used in the research of trypanosomiasis gambiae, antimony-resistant leishmaniasis and Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia.
