Peptide 74 is a synthetic peptide containing the prodomain sequence of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP). Peptide 74 inhibits the activated form of the 72-kDa type IV collagenase in vitro[1].
Peptide 74 (30 μM) reduces both A2058 and HT 1080 tumor cell invasion by 60-80%[1].
Peptide 74 (30 μM) shows no cytotoxic action and does not inhibit chemotaxis or affect HT1080 and A2058 human tumor cells number[1].
