Perampanel Amide(Cas: 380919-34-6) is a derivative of perampanel, a medication used for the treatment of epilepsy. It acts as a selective antagonist of the alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid (AMPA) receptor, which plays a role in the transmission of signals in the brain. By blocking the AMPA receptor, perampanel amide can reduce the occurrence of seizures in patients with epilepsy. It is currently undergoing preclinical testing to evaluate its potential as a treatment for other neurological disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
