Perfluorodecalin (CAS 306-94-5) is a fluorous solvent generally used as a primary component of the fluorous biphasic system (FBS) or the fluorous multiphasic system (FMS) in synthetic chemistry. It is also used as an additive to increase oxygen solubility in fermentation media.
