Piperonyl butoxide (Cat No.:I000008), also known as Butacide, Ethanol butoxide, or Pyrenone 606, is a synthetic pesticide synergist widely used in combination with insecticides. It acts by inhibiting certain enzymes in insects, enhancing the effectiveness of insecticides and prolonging their activity. By acting as a synergist, PBO increases the potency of insecticides and helps overcome resistance developed by some pests. Its use in pesticide formulations allows for lower concentrations of active insecticides, reducing environmental impact and improving pest control efficacy.
