PLK4-IN-4 (Cat No.: I040129) is a small-molecule inhibitor targeting polo-like kinase 4 (PLK4), a critical regulator of centriole biogenesis and cell division. By inhibiting PLK4, PLK4-IN-4 disrupts centrosome function, leading to defective cell division and mitotic errors. This makes it a promising candidate for cancer therapy, particularly in cancers characterized by abnormal cell division and centrosome amplification. Preclinical studies suggest that PLK4-IN-4 could suppress tumor growth and improve the effectiveness of other anticancer treatments by selectively targeting proliferating cancer cells.
