Poly-L-lysine hydrobromide (MW 150,000–300,000)(Cat No.:I042953)is a high-molecular-weight cationic polymer composed of lysine residues. It is widely used in molecular biology and cell culture applications due to its ability to bind to negatively charged surfaces, such as cell membranes, DNA, and proteins. This high-molecular-weight version offers enhanced binding capacity and stability compared to lower-molecular-weight forms. Poly-L-lysine hydrobromide is often employed in gene delivery, tissue culture, and as a coating material for biomaterials to promote cell adhesion. It is also used in drug delivery systems and in the enhancement of transfection efficiency in gene therapy.
