Prucalopride Succinate (Cat No.: I008890) is a selective, high-affinity 5-HT₄ receptor agonist used to stimulate gastrointestinal motility. It enhances colonic peristalsis, promoting bowel movements and is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation. Unlike older prokinetic agents, Prucalopride shows minimal affinity for other serotonin receptor subtypes, reducing the risk of cardiovascular side effects. It has also been explored for potential benefits in gastrointestinal disorders such as gastroparesis. Prucalopride Succinate is valuable in both clinical and pharmacological research on gut motility.
