PSI-7409(Cat No.:I013531) is the biologically active form of Sofosbuvir (PSI-7977), a potent and selective inhibitor of the hepatitis C virus (HCV). Sofosbuvir is a nucleotide analog that targets the NS5B RNA polymerase of HCV, and it is highly effective against multiple HCV genotypes with a high barrier to resistance. Once inside cells, Sofosbuvir is metabolized to the active form, PSI-7409, which is incorporated into the HCV RNA by NS5B, leading to chain termination and inhibition of viral replication. Sofosbuvir is used in combination with other antiviral drugs to treat chronic HCV infection.
