PTP1B-IN-9(Cat Np.:I016708) is a ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS)-a stressor that inhibits ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation upstream of the 20S proteasomal catalytic activities. This leads to a UPS-stress response without affecting 20S proteasome catalytic activities. PTP1B-IN-9 has shown anticancer activity by reducing the viability of HPV16-positive SiHa and Caski cells as well as HPV-39-positive ME180 cervical cancer cell lines in a dose-dependent manner. It also reduces the cell viability of HeLa cervical cancer cells in a dose-dependent fashion with an IC50 value of 2 µM.
