PVZB1194 is a biphenyl-type inhibitor of Kinesin spindle protein Eg5 or KIF11. Eg5 is related to the cell cycle, and Eg5 inhibition can lead to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. PVZB1194 exhibits anticancer potential via inhibiting Eg5 ATPase activity. PVZB1194 binds to the α4/α6 allosteric pocket, and shows ATP competetive activity[1].
