Pyrazine-<wbr></wbr>2-<wbr></wbr>thio carboxamide is a synthetic intermediate useful for pharmaceutical synthesis. Like the related pyrazinamide, pyrazine-<wbr></wbr>2-<wbr></wbr>thio carboxamide has mycobacteriostatic and mycobacteriocidal activities in vitro, suggesting that it might be an effective antituberculosis drug.
