RIPGBM(CAT: I019303) is a selective inducer of apoptosis in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cancer stem cells (CSCs) with an EC50 of ≤500 nM. It exerts its apoptotic effect by binding to receptor-interacting protein kinase 2 (RIPK2) and functioning as a molecular switch. This leads to a reduction in the formation of a prosurvival RIPK2/TAK1 complex and an increase in the formation of a proapoptotic RIPK2/caspase 1 complex.
