RVG–Cys acetate(CAT: I040806), also known as RVG29–Cys acetate or RDP–Cys acetate, is a 29–amino acid peptide derived from the rabies virus glycoprotein (RVG). This peptide specifically binds to the α7 subunit of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAchR) on neuronal cells, facilitating targeted delivery across the blood–brain barrier. The addition of a terminal cysteine residue enables conjugation with various therapeutic agents, enhancing their transport into the central nervous system. RVG–Cys acetate is widely utilized in neuroscience research for developing treatments aimed at neurological disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.
