RY785 is a selective inhibitor of K<sub>v</sub>2.1 voltage-gated potassium channels (IC<sub>50</sub> = 0.05 µM) that does not affect Ca<sub>v</sub>2 calcium channels. It displays over 100-fold selectivity for K<sub>v</sub>2.1 over Ca<sub>v</sub>1.2 (IC<sub>50</sub> = 17 µM).
