(S)-Pregabalin（Cat No.:R009227）is the enantiomer of pregabalin, a medication commonly used to treat neuropathic pain, anxiety disorders, and epilepsy. It functions by binding to the α2δ subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system, which reduces the release of excitatory neurotransmitters and calms overactive neural activity. The (S)-enantiomer is the more active form of pregabalin, responsible for its therapeutic effects. Although pregabalin (both forms) is used in clinical settings, (S)-pregabalin is mainly studied for its potential to enhance the efficacy and reduce side effects of the racemic drug.
