Seladelpar (CAT: I009423), also known as MBX-8025 and RWJ-800025, is a selective agonist of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)-δ receptor. PPAR-δ is a nuclear receptor involved in the regulation of lipid and glucose metabolism. By activating PPAR-δ, seladelpar may have therapeutic potential in the treatment of various metabolic disorders, including dyslipidemia, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Clinical studies are underway to evaluate the efficacy and safety of seladelpar in these indications.
