SEMBL(CAT: I036208) is a potent NF-κB inhibitor with significant applications in anticancer research. It effectively blocks NF-κB-DNA binding and suppresses NF-κB-dependent inflammatory cytokine secretion. SEMBL also inhibits cancer cell migration and invasion by downregulating matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) expression, particularly MMP-2. In ovarian carcinoma cells, SEMBL reduces metastatic activity and inhibits constitutively activated NF-κB activity at non-toxic concentrations. These properties make SEMBL a valuable tool for studying cancer cell behavior, including migration, invasion, and inflammation-related mechanisms, offering potential insights into therapeutic strategies targeting NF-κB and cancer metastasis.
