Sertindole（Cat No.:I000321）is an atypical antipsychotic used primarily to treat schizophrenia. It works by selectively blocking dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT2 receptors, helping to balance neurotransmitter activity in the brain. Sertindole is effective in managing both positive symptoms (such as hallucinations and delusions) and negative symptoms (such as emotional withdrawal and apathy) of schizophrenia. Unlike many other antipsychotics, it has a lower tendency to cause sedation or weight gain. However, its use requires careful monitoring due to potential cardiovascular side effects, such as QT interval prolongation.
