Stains-All(CAT: I012977) is a versatile, cationic, sulfonated carbocyanine dye commonly used in biochemical research for staining a wide range of biomolecules. It is particularly effective for detecting acidic proteins, glycoproteins, calcium-binding proteins, and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) in polyacrylamide gels. Stains-All exhibits metachromatic staining, producing different colors depending on the molecular target—acidic proteins typically stain blue, while calcium-binding proteins stain purple or pink.
