TAS-103 dihydrochloride(CAT: I002278), also known as tosufloxacin tosilate, is a synthetic quinolone antibiotic. It is a dual inhibitor of topoisomerase I and II, enzymes involved in DNA replication and repair. TAS-103 has demonstrated potent antimicrobial activity against a broad range of bacteria, including both Gram-positive and Gram-negative strains. In addition to its antibacterial properties, TAS-103 has shown anticancer activity by inhibiting DNA topoisomerases, leading to DNA damage and cell death. It has been investigated as a potential treatment for various types of cancers, including lung, breast, and ovarian cancers.
